How-to Treat Skin Problems Non-Invasively

Broadband Light (BBL) Photo Rejuvenation is a non-invasive procedure used to treat many of today’s common skin problems. It is commonly used to treat age spots, freckles, rosacea, sun spots, and broken capillaries on the face. BBL is a safe device and can be applied to the face, neck, chest, and hands and is used in a convenient out-patient setting.

Sciton’s BBL technology sends pulses of light to the skin through a delicate computer controlled hand piece. The machine is programmed to target any reds or browns underneath the skin and fragment them. There are several benefits to BBL treatments over other skin procedures. BBL aids in the reproduction of collagen with little if any pain and no down time. There are various arrays of wavelengths so physicians have the opportunity to personalize each treatment based on the patient’s needs. There are also different interchangeable filters that go into the hand piece that enables use on multiple skin types. The BBL hand piece furthermore contains a cooling system that keeps the skin at a precise temperature keeping it safe and comfortable for the patient.

Treatments: results depend on the size and depth of the problem area as well as the location and the type of skin you have. Sessions last around 30 minutes long, are repeated every 3 weeks, and usually take between 3-6 treatments for full results. After your treatment the targeted area will gradually fade and slowly disappear.
